Siji Puliyodil
Siji is a passionate Early Childhood Education professional with a diploma from Seneca College and 24 years of experience in the field. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles that have allowed her to grow both personally and professionally while developing a strong understanding of early childhood education, leadership, and the importance of building meaningful relationships with children, families, and educators.
Siji began her career as a classroom educator, gaining valuable hands-on experience working with children of all age groups, from infants to school-age. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in child development and helped shape her approach to creating nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environments.
As her career progressed, Siji took on leadership roles as a Supervisor and later as a General Manager, where she developed extensive experience in team leadership, operations, staff development, and program quality. She has always been passionate about supporting educators and creating environments where both children and staff feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Since May 2022, Siji has been proud to be part of the Willowbrae Academy family, where she continues to bring her experience, leadership, and passion for early childhood education to her role.
In addition to her work in the childcare sector, Siji is a Field Advisor, supporting and mentoring students enrolled in Early Childhood Education programs as they gain practical experience in the field. She is also a Mentor with the College of Early Childhood Educators in Ontario, where she has the opportunity to support RECEs in their professional growth and development. Supporting and mentoring the next generation of early childhood educators is something she finds especially rewarding.
Siji believes that quality early childhood education begins with strong relationships, continuous learning, and a commitment to creating meaningful experiences for children, families, and educators.
Outside of work, Siji enjoys exploring nature on long hikes, expressing her creativity through painting, getting lost in a good book, and, of course, enjoying a little shopping.
