Laurie Newman
Laurie Newman is the dedicated Director of Willowbrae Academy, bringing over a decade of experience in the child care field to her role. She has been working in early learning since 2011 and has held leadership positions as a Supervisor since 2014, developing a strong foundation in team leadership, program excellence, and family engagement.
Laurie has been part of the Academy since before its doors officially opened, playing an instrumental role in the pre-opening phase and helping lay the foundation for the strong, values-driven community it is today.
With extensive experience in diverse child care settings, Laurie is passionate about creating environments where children, families, and educators thrive together. She believes that high-quality early learning begins with strong relationships and leads with an open-door policy, welcoming ongoing communication and collaboration. Laurie deeply values cultivating meaningful connections with children, parents, and educators alike, recognizing that strong partnerships are essential to a child’s success.
Committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and collaborative culture, Laurie works to ensure that children feel safe and inspired to explore, educators feel valued and supported, and families feel genuinely connected to the Academy community.
